Steelers Training Camp Update: Talk of the 2009 Camp
Isaac Redman
#33
6-0 230-pounds 'Redzone Redman'
Isaac Redman holds the career
rushing title at Bowie State but was considered a long
shot to make the Steelers team. He has been garnering lots of
attention by getting into the end zone regularly, something the
Steelers have missed in a running back since Jerome Bettis retired.
Some notable milestones a couple weeks into his Latrobe training camp:
Redman scored
twice during two attempts on a goal-line drill August 9th
Redman scored the
Steelers only two touchdowns in their 20-10 pre-season victory
over the Arizona Cardinals on August 13th
Redman scored five
times in seven attempts during goal-line drills August 16th
If Redman makes the
Steelers team, he would be the first player from Division II Bowie
State to play in the NFL.
