America's Most Decorated Battleship
The USS New Jersey's 19 battle and campaign stars, combined with all awards earned during her four major periods of service, make New Jersey a legend among naval ships. During nearly five decades of service, New Jersey saw action in World War Two, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.  Awards and decorations include:

16" Projectile or 'Project' weighed up to 2700 lbs.
Six 110-pound powder bags (like the one seen on the top of the gray stand on the right) were needed to fire one projectile. Range: 23 miles
